Remodeling - Kitchen & Bathroom

I completely remodeled my kitchen and dining room. I had three contractors propose the job. I hired Remodel Works because of the professional manner in which they helped me with the design, careful way they measured (and re-measured) the area to be remodeled, and the very specific and understandable proposal they provided for the work to be performed. The proposal and contract covered everything and there were no surprises throughout the five weeks of demolition and construction.
I appreciated the careful attention the designer, John De Luca, took to measure everything, assist with problem areas such as flooring solutions and make very helpful suggestions about the type of cabinets and drawers I would want to have in my new kitchen so I would end up with a very useful and beautiful work space.
Prior to the start of the job, I received an unexpected phone call from the owner of the company thanking me for my business. Then, my Designer, John De Luca and my Project Manager, Royce Ramswick came to my home prior to the job start to make sure everything was properly measured, identified and there were no visible surprises in the work that needed to be done.
Also prior to construction, I received a very detailed work schedule listing everything that was to be done, the date it would be completed and the person/persons who would be performing the work. On days when the projects underway would be especially messy or noisy, I was notified so I could leave the house if necessary. My Project Manager also worked closely with the painting and flooring sub-contractors to make sure everyone would be on time and on schedule. Materials were delivered prior to the start of the job and my project manager came over to take inventory and make sure everything was on hand to complete the work.
All the work was done as represented. Everything was completed according to the schedule I was given at the start of the job. Any and every problem was handled immediately and the schedule was never impacted. The crew members, Seth, Paul and Gerry were polite, patient with my questions and kept everything as neat and clean as I expected a "demolition/construction" zone to be. My Project Manager regularly monitored the project and when I had a question or issue, he managed everything right away and made sure we understood each other. I initiated a couple of minor changes during the job and these changes were handled by John and Royce without hesitation to my complete satisfaction.
From start to finish this was a very good experience. I would wholeheartedly recommend Remodel Works for a kitchen remodel job, and plan to use them again when I'm ready to remodel my bathroom.

I highly recommend Remodel works and John De Luca for any kitchen or bath project. John worked hard to accommodate the budget we had to give us the best bang for the buck as we paid directly for the granite counter tops, kitchen sink, toilet, faucet and appliances that Remodel Works installed.
We love our new kitchen and bathroom.
Description of work:
Full demo of the kitchen and 1-bathroom, removed the old bathtub and built out a better tiled shower, shower, door and faucets, Install new tile flooring, cabinets, granite counter top with 2-sinks, drywall work, texture and a new toilet was installed.
New kitchen design by John De Luca moved the oven/range and refrigerator to new locations for better work flow and demo old kitchen cabinets and appliances, install new cherry cabinets with under cabinet LED lighting, granite counter tops, moved electrical, drywall and plumbing as needed and installed new appliances that we purchased separately. John did a great job with the design and Royce the project manager made sure the job was done on time.

Our Santee townhome was built in 1982. Our kitchen was in dire need of an update. Not knowing what to expect, we were both a little intimidated and overwhelmed by all the product selections available. Our designer, John De Luca, listened to our concerns, wants and needs. He recommended what would be best according to our vision and budget. His knowledge and expertise put us at ease. He talked us through every possible detail. He carefully organized and planned out our dream kitchen.
Prior to the project start date, Royce, our project manager, provided a work schedule that informed us of who will be out and when. He kept everyone on schedule. At the end of the day, the job site was cleaned up and made tidy. Everything was well organized and set-up for the next phase of construction.
The jack of all trades, Eddie, executed with great skill, the tiling & finish work. His kind personality, great attention to detail, and pride in his work.
The project was completed on time. Our kitchen is beautiful! My husband & I highly recommend this company to anyone.
Sincerely,

Dear Mr. Christiansen;
Our recent kitchen remodel was completed by your company. The finished results are beyond our expectations. The professional treatment we received from your employees is a rarity these days. John was outstanding; he patiently guided us through the whole process and was our constant cheerleader. In fact, the very first time we visited your showroom and up until the final inspection, we were treated as if we were your only customer. Which we know is not the case.
Every question we presented, and every idea we expressed were handled with patience, sincerity and experience. We never felt as if we were being annoying or showing our lack of remodel experience in any way.
More amazing was the exactness that was followed to the planned installation schedule. Every step was completed without incident and on time. No delays! Ever!
Always suspect is the quality of a company’s workmanship. From the view of two very picky individuals, Remodel Works is second to nobody we have ever contracted! This quality workmanship reputation is something to present with pride.
If ever there is a need for a customer referral, please do not hesitate to contact us for your prospective customers.
Sincerely,
Rocky & Yvonne Wilske

Remodel Works Testimonial
Remodel works just finished remodeling our two bathrooms!! I had contacted two other smaller businesses to get going on these projects. They were taking so long to get back regarding time frames and price, that in the meanwhile I had Remodel Works come in. They were very professional and fun to work with. John really listened and made some great suggestions. I did not want a job that would drag on and on for months. Within 6 1/2 weeks BOTH bathrooms were complete and beautiful!! It would have been sooner, but we were gone for a week and didn't have anyone working then. I would have Remodel Works back again...in fact, the kitchen could be next...

It was nearly 5 months ago that my wife and I contracted Remodel Works of Poway to do a complete kitchen remodel. I didn't write a review right after the kitchen was finished because I wanted us to live in it for a while to try it out.
Our designer was John De Luca. He came by our house, listened to how we wanted to change the floorplan to create more room and openness. When we went by their office a week later, John had the floorplan drawn with a representation of the kitchen. It was exactly what we discussed.
The project manager, Nick Dohrman, is Mr. Communication. He kept us informed of next steps in the project, was always there to answer calls or texts and kept the tradesmen on task. He did a fantastic job as did all the workers.
The project went like clockwork. It started when scheduled and finished on schedule.
We spent a little more for this project, but the extra costs associated with hiring Remodel Works was well worth the staff professionalism, skilled tradesmen and on time delivery. I would use them again!

To Whom It May Concern:
In Feb 2016 Remodel Works did a complete kitchen remodel for us. John De Luca designed the kitchen, with input from us. Nick Dohrmann was our project manager and did a great job. He and the people he selected for doing the work of cabinet install, flooring, electrical, etc. were true craftsman. Remodel Works promises a day by day schedule of what will be worked on and by whom. It was great to know who was showing up and when. They followed the schedule and finished the project on time. When issues arose, as they always will, Nick was quick to respond and come up with a resolution. The workmanship is of first quality and now using the kitchen, we can say that the design is excellent. We would not hesitate to recommend Remodel Works!

Dear Sir,
The purpose of this letter is to sing the praises of John De Luca's outstanding talents in design.
My house was built in 1956 and has never been updated. I have hated the kitchen since the day I moved in - two years ago. I have very little counter space.
After spending some time with John in his showroom, he came to my home and spent quite awhile taking measurements and offering helpful suggestions. He then returned to his office and created the most wonderful new floorplan on his computer. He opened up the space and reconfigured it to give me a lot of counter space and a much more "user friendly," light kitchen. When I showed John's floorplan to family and friends, they were very impressed with a design they would have never though of.
My kitchen will be finished by Thanksgiving. I can't wait to see my new kitchen! I have a feeling it is going to be my favorite room in the house.
Sincerely,
Bonnie

Christmas came early to this old widow's home.
After four years of living out of boxes in a two-room granny house, with stove and refrigerator in the living room, no sink or cabinets, a dream has been realized. Of course it took money, many hours doing telemarketing and obtaining a loan.
Most of all it took the vision and encouragement of a sincere gentleman named John De Luca. After my somewhat timid inquiry as to what a dream kitchen would cost and not having the immediate funds, he was still right there all the way. He never gave up on me, nor did I on myself, as it took well over a year to make this project happen.
Now, I have a beautiful, workable kitchen to feed my one and only living relative, my son. Everyday I enjoy making his meals, instead of dreading the daily chore under my previous, ridiculous handicap.
Visitors can't believe their eyes. By knocking out the living room wall and using John's computerized vision, he took the nothingness of what I had to work with and transformed into the kitchen of my dreams. It may not be filled with the "top of the line cabinetry" that we first worked with, but with one I could afford - I couldn't be happier! If you knew me, you would know I am not easy to work with or please.
Cooking and baking is such a joy and pleasure and gives me more time for my main interest - creative writing. I shall have a special chapter in my novel entitled, "MY KITCHEN MAN."
If anyone really wants a kitchen designed to their needs and a serious, dedicated, knowledgeable man to work with, there is only one person to ask for - John De Luca.
Sincerely,
Lu
